চট্টগ্রাম মহানগরীর বায়েজিদ বোস্তামি থানাধীন টি বোর্ড এলাকায় একটি রি-রোলিং মিলে কাজ করার সময় উত্তপ্ত গলিত লোহার অংশ পড়ে দগ্ধ হয়েছেন ৬ শ্রমিক।
রোববার রাত সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটেছে।
আহত শ্রমিকদের উদ্ধার করে ৪ জনকে চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে বার্ণ ইউনিটে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।
তারা হলো- আবু বকর সিদ্দিক (২৮),জহির (২৭), জাফর (৪০) ও মনজুর (২৭)
২ জনকে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা দেয়া হয়েছে।
বায়েজিদ বোস্তামী থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা মোহাম্মদ মহসিন জানান, টি-বোর্ডের বিপরীতে অবস্থিত রতনপুর স্টিল রি-রোলিং মিলস (আরএসআরএম) এ রাতে কাজ করার সময় কয়েকজন শ্রমিক অগ্নিদগ্ধ হয়েছে। তাদের উদ্ধার করে ৪ জনকে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।
আগ্রাবাদ ফায়ার সার্ভিস ও সিভিল ডিফেন্স কন্ট্রোল রুমের অপারেটর ফজলুল কাদের জানান, বায়েজিদ বোস্তামি থানা এলাকার একটি রড তৈরীর কারখানায় অগ্নিকাণ্ডের খবর পেয়ে বায়েজিদ বোস্তামি ফায়ার স্টেশনের দুটি গাড়ি ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেছে। কয়েকজন শ্রমিক আহত হয়েছে শুনেছি। বিস্তারিত পাওয়া যায়নি।
